She is an artistic painter whose oil and acrylic creations revolve around the marine world. His work always involves preliminary research, which consists of photographing seaside or underwater environments. Using specialized equipment, she strives to capture the light, textures, colors and reliefs that characterize various geographic landscapes in the aquatic world. His work is strongly inspired by his travels and his passion for scuba diving. She plans his expeditions around the reputable diving sites she wishes to explore. She seeks out places that are full of history, with shipwrecks, for instance. She studies the visual impact of the chemical and physical alteration of surfaces, caused by the elements and the passage of time. She also explores the light, shapes and colors of the seabed. Through his abstract and figurative compositions, she pursues his pictorial research at various marine sites around the globe, focusing on how geology, seismic and biological activity or other factors influence the light and tone of the environment. In his production, she is partial to the Mediterranean Sea’s distinctive colours, particularly along the coast of Turkey and the Mediterranean Basin, known as the cradle of world civilizations. Steeped in ancient maritime history, the waters of this geographic location bear unique shades of blue, due in part to the area’s strong volcanic activity. Thus, his intent is to share his discoveries by graphically translating them onto my canvas, drawing on his aesthetic sensibilities in the process.
