Jocelyn Blouin

Self-taught, Jocelyn Blouin is a painter who lives and works in Quebec. He exhibited his paintings for the first time at Laval University in 1981. His second exhibition would happen almost twenty years later. It happened in 1999 when he exhibited at L’Autre Caserne where, to his great surprise, he attracted the attention of an art critic from the daily newspaper Le Soleil. Since then, his work has found continuous gallery displays in Quebec and Ontario. Today, his works can be found in many private collections all over the planet.

Jocelyn Blouin paints in acrylic on canvas. Over the years, his work has departed from its details to keep only the lines essential to the understanding of the work. The representation of the cube, to which no embellishment clings, is his main tool in the elaboration of urban landscapes.
