Clément Lemieux, self-taught sculptor and painter, born in Levis, Quebec, in 1946. Bodybuilder trained, has been devoted to sculpture since 1992. Being a father of 12 children and a judo passionate, the human body and family bond have become his fascination. He chose to work with abstract characters, simple and stylized shapes, as well as prioritizing colors in his artistic practice. The artist has, over the years, developed a skill to combine forms and colors varnished with urethane. His wood carvings (Pine, Linden, Cherry, Spruce) vary from 6 inches to 13 feet. His colorful abstract paintings display ample and directed gestures. His pieces can be found in several private collections in the United States, Europe and Canada.
